Farmers’ Markets are out-door “grocery stores” where you can buy fresh vegetables, fruits and other foods and goods. Farmers markets bring fresh produce to communities that do not have access to good, quality fresh foods.
Farmers’ Markets are usually opened a few hours, one day per week. Some Farmers’ Markets are open all year, others are open seasonally, usually from late spring (May) through the fall (October).
We have lots of Farmers Markets around Baltimore City that offer a variety of foods and other goods as well as easy and affordable ways of making purchases. Many places accept WIC and SNAP vouchers; provide discounts for seniors; and offer Farmers Market vouchers that you can buy that add more dollar value to your purchases like coupons in the regular grocery store.
