Even though Maryland is a “pro-choice” state, a growing number of legislators, supported by an influential anti-choice grassroots movement, are making it increasingly difficult for people to control their own bodies and lives. These powerful extremists would like the government to make sure that people only have sex when married and only for the sake of having children, no matter what the cost may be to our communities and personal freedoms. Simply put, the government should not be in the business of controlling the number of children we have, or deciding when it is best for us to start our families.
PPM is the primary resource to legislators in Annapolis on issues of reproductive healthcare and education.
