Pesticides and Playgrounds - Chemicals in Our Children's Everyday Environment

Palo Alto Art Center, 1313 Newell Road in Palo Alto, California

  • Description: Charlotte Brody of Commonweal and Renee Sharp from the Environmental Working Group will join Susan Kegley from the Pesticide Action Network North America to share resources that you can use to protect your family from the harmful effect of pesticides. From food shopping to household cleaning supplies to local pesticide policies, pick up some everyday tips and tools to use and share.

Send an email to your State Assemblymember and State Senator in support of SB 1713 (Migden), legislation that would reduce California children's exposure to harmful chemicals like lead, phthalates, and bisphenol A, which can be found in some common children's products such as lotions, plastic toys, baby bottles and other items intended for use by or to be used on children.
