An Act Updating the Public Health Laws

Senate Bill 1610, House Bill 1745 This bill has been referred to the Joint Committee on the Judiciary.

This bill would repeal several unconstitutional abortion and contraceptive restrictions that are still on the law books in Massachusetts:  an unconstitutional, pre-Roe v. Wade abortion ban, an unconstitutional hospitalization requirement, and a contraceptive restriction to married couples.

An Act Relative to Consent and Counseling for Certain Minors

House Bill 1746     This bill has been referred to the Joint Committee on the Judiciary.

This bill would expand the categories of people who could provide counseling and give consent to minors who are seeking abortions in order to maximize the minors’ ability to receive this information in a safe environment.
