HCAP Public Affairs Interns for Fall & Spring

Our HCAP interns and volunteers are working in Bucks, Lehigh, Berks, Dauphin and York Counties and we have one intern for Fund For Choice in Harrisburg. The Health Center Advocacy Program (HCAP) is a dual-pronged approach used to improve our community’s overall health. Inside health centers, volunteers and staff educate patients about the political world in which the services they are receiving exist. Outside the health centers, volunteers and staff disseminate information about our health services to the communities in which they exist.

For less formal volunteer opportunities, we continue to need volunteers who like to work with the public and our patients. You will be educating them about Planned Parenthood's services, the importance of registering to vote and the new Affordable Care Act (ACA).  If interested, e-mail volunteer@planitpa.org and you may complete our volunteer application to begin the process.
