It's official!

Planned Parenthood of the Bluegrass and Planned Parenthood of Louisville have merged and embarked on their first year serving the Commonwealth as Planned Parenthood of Kentucky.

With this merger, we are extremely proud to be able to provide increased access to programs and health services for women, men and teens, as well as strengthen the voice for reproductive rights advocacy in Kentucky.

This year will mark a new beginning for our organization, as the integration of our two agencies will benefit the entire Commonwealth of Kentucky through:

• Standardized health centers and services, allowing individuals to access affordable, quality reproductive health care at locations throughout the Commonwealth.
• Expansion of medically accurate, comprehensive and age appropriate communication for those who seek health information, education programs or the advice of a health care professional.
• A unified advocacy effort in Frankfort and across the Commonwealth.
• Efficient management of current services and the extension of additional services.

In addition to these benefits, initiatives begun in 2007 will continue. These initiatives include the development of a stronger online presence, the addition of bilingual services for the Hispanic and Latino community, increased opportunities for involvement and the development of enhanced communication with supporters.  The combination of these initiatives and benefits will, with your continued support, ensure that Planned Parenthood of Kentucky continues to be successful now and in the future.
