Youth Speak Out
Read below to learn more about the Planned Parenthood Youth Initiatives Program.
Highlights
Groups
The Youth Initiatives Program supports the following groups:
Teen Advocates and Educators Through the Young Leaders Council
The Planned Parenthood Young Leaders Council is made up of teen peer educators from around the country. The council is a coordinating body that strengthens both our education and outreach and advocates on behalf of the young people we serve, to help ensure that Planned Parenthood services are fully accessible for teens and their families.
College Students Through Vox®: Voices for Planned Parenthood
Vox: Voices for Planned Parenthood is a program designed to educate and mobilize students and youth in support of reproductive health and rights. Vox groups across the country organize public events, educate their peers, support their local Planned Parenthood health centers, and mobilize students and other young people to speak out for reproductive rights and access to reproductive health services.
Young People in the Community Through Local Planned Parenthood Affiliates
Local Planned Parenthood affiliates throughout the country also reach out to young people, especially young women, in the community who are not in college, to help ensure that Planned Parenthood is able to offer the best possible services to anyone who walks through our doors.
