Happy New Year!

The New Year is a time for reflection and resolutions. Last year was incredible for Planned Parenthood. From the elections to the U.S. Supreme Court to the halls of Congress, we are changing the face of this country. And we will continue this work in 2007. We have much to look forward to — a strong pro-choice woman as speaker of the House for the first time in history, and 18 new pro-choice representatives and five new pro-family planning senators in Congress, just to name a few.

But, as the abolitionist Wendell Phillips said, “Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty.” It’s true that we achieved many successes last year, but we still have a lot of work to do in 2007 because our opponents just won’t quit.

But we are so fortunate to have the most dedicated and talented activists, supporters, and staff to help get the job done. We can’t thank you enough for giving your time and money, spreading our messages, and standing up for women’s health and reproductive freedom.  Together we are making meaningful change in the lives of real people.
