Talking With Your Parents About Sex
Talking about sex can sometimes be uncomfortable, especially when it comes to talking about it with your parents. You might worry they’ll react negatively or make assumptions about what’s going on in your life. But you may be surprised at how willing your parents are to talk with you. It might be awkward, but they care about you and may be able to give you great advice and information about sex and sexual health, and can offer you support for the decisions you make.
You’re probably not the only one who feels awkward or nervous talking about sex at home — your parents likely do, too. Keep in mind that a lot of parents say they're relieved when their teens start this conversation.
