Dr. Ruth Westheimer

Alderman Vi Daley (D-43)
Chicago Alderman Vi Daley (D-43) will be awarded with PPIL’s Richard J Phelan Profile in Courage Award for sponsoring and passing a “bubble zone” ordinance in the Chicago City Council that will protect patients, staff and volunteers from harassment and intimidation when they enter a health care facility. The Honorable Richard J. Phelan is best known for championing of women’s access to quality health care services during his tenure as Cook County Board President. PPIL created the Richard J. Phelan Profile in Courage Award to recognize those elected officials who have demonstrated courage in the face of adversity.

Debby Herbenick, Ph.D.
Debby Herbenick Ph.D., is the author of Because It Feels Good: A Woman's Guide to Sexual Pleasure, a sexual health educator at The Kinsey Institute and a research scientist and Associate Director of The Center for Sexual Health Promotion at Indiana University. In addition, Dr. Herbenick is a widely read sex colmnist, with regular columns in Time Out Chicago, Men's Health magazine and Psychology Today, among others. She has served as a sex expert on The Tyra Banks Show, the Today Show, Discovery Health and numerous radio programs.
