Where We Have Been. . .
Planned Parenthood of Idaho was started in Boise in 1971 when a group of dedicated volunteers met to find a way to provide a much needed service to the community: affordable, quality family planning education and services.
From these humble beginnings, PPI has grown into a three pronged organization-advocacy, education, and health care – still consistent with the goals and dedication of the start-up team of volunteers.
Today, PPI is a full service family planning health care and education center serving over 10,000 patients annually in its Boise and Twin Falls health care centers and providing sexual health education rivaled by none in the State.
PPI is also the advocacy focal point working to further public policy and opinion consistent with Planned Parenthood Federation of America and Planned Parenthood of Idaho's goals.
