It’s time for women’s health to become a priority with commonsense solutions to reducing teen pregnancy and STI rates, access to low-cost birth control, and quality, affordable reproductive health care. PPHP advocates for a prevention first agenda, investing in prevention and family planning programs that keep women healthy, save lives, and prevent unintended pregnancy. We believe women should have access to comprehensive information and education, and giving them resources to make personal decisions about their health care. During Women’s Health Matters Week, PPHP provided education and resources about our programs and services to community groups and college students, and raised awareness about the growing need for elected officials to make women’s health a priority. Public Affairs and Education staff brought the Smart Wheels mobile education van to Mercy College – Yorktown Heights and Westchester Community College.
