Volunteer: Make a difference
PPHP is able to deliver the high-quality health care and service we do because of the help provided by volunteers and interns. Play a vital role in advancing our mission! Assistance is needed in health services, public affairs, fundraising, education and training, and community outreach. Help others by donating your time and skills.
We'll work together to find the right "fit" and schedule for you! Our orientation helps get volunteers settled in to their new role(s) in our organization. Training is also provided -- it varies by position -- and volunteers have ongoing support from their assigned supervisor and the volunteer office.
To get started, please print out and complete our Volunteer Application. You'll be glad you did. Return the completed form to the appropriate location indicated at the top of the application. A member of the Volunteer or Human Resources staff will contact you.
Have fun at Planned Parenthood. See the entertaining, energetic celebratory video of HHS’s decision to require no co-pay birth control, created by volunteers and friends. Watch Planned Parenthood Goes Bollywood!
Donate to Our Thrift Shop
Your used but usable items can help support sexual and reproductive health programs and services. Donations of fine and costume jewelry, seasonal clothing, bric-a-brac, housewares, art, and decorative home accessories are always needed. Items can be dropped off at the thrift shop at 274 New York Avenue in Huntington, or at any PPHP health center. The shop accepts donations Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. For information or to make alternate drop-off arrangements, please contact us at (914) 467-7342 in Westchester or (631) 240-1128 in Suffolk.
The thrift shop is run by volunteers and we could always use a hand there too!
