BAND
Each band is comprised of up to four (4) members.
The band must register online for $20 and provide the names of three songs that the band may play.
There is no additional fee for band members to enter.
Band members can swap instruments at any time.
Bands can register once per Rock On! party.
Individuals cant be in more than one band.
ROUNDS
The contest is comprised of a preliminary round and finals.
The top bands from the preliminary round, based on total points, move to the finals.
Bands will be assigned a number and will play in numerical order (Band1, Band2, Band3
etc.). Bands should be ready when their number is called, otherwise they are disqualified.
Bands may get an alternate slot due to extenuating circumstances, as ruled by the organizers.
SONGS
The first round will be scored on a two (2) song performance and the finals on a single (1) performance.
Preliminary and final tracks should be selected from the base Rock Band 2 track list (no DLC tracks).
HERE IS A COMPLETE LIST OF ROCK BAND 2 TRACKS
Bands must submit their preferred three (3) songs at the time of registration. All attempts will be made to ensure the tracks selected are the tracks assigned to the band. However, the organizers have the right to select a different track if multiple bands request the same song. Bands may want to have a back up song in mind.
Songs cannot be performed more than once by the same band.
SCORING
The preliminary round will be scored by Rock Band. The bands with the highest total score will move on to the finals.
Additional points can be awarded by judges based on showmanship, costumes, vocal talent, etc.
The audience will text-vote for their favorite band in the finals round (so bring your friends!)
The game will be set to No Fail, but bottoming out will still cost a band, even if it doesnt end their performance.
RULES
Bad sportsmanship will not be tolerated.
