In June of 2011, PP Heartland entered into a management contract with intent to consolidate with Planned Parenthood of Arkansas and Eastern Oklahoma (PPAEO). Here’s what the new affiliate looks like:
On Dec. 31, 2011, PP Heartland and PPAEO consolidated to become a regional, four-state affiliate.
PP Heartland now has 34 health centers: two in Arkansas, 25 in Iowa, three in Nebraska and four in Oklahoma.
Nearly 77,000 patients are expected to be served between PP Heartland and PPAEO.
Services offered at health centers include age-appropriate education programs, adoption services, birth control, emergency contraception, annual well woman exams, LGBT care, cervical and breast cancer screenings, pediatric care, STI testing and treatment, colposcopies,pregnancy testing, prenatal care, abortion services, HIV testing, HPV and hepatitis vaccines, menopause services, sexual assault exams and male services.
