The 3rd annual Re/Nude art show/sale will take place at Redux Contemporary Art Center (136 St. Philip Street):

Suggested Donation $10 upon entry.
It is a benefit for the local Planned Parenthood Health Center. The title of the show is “Re-Nude: Celebrate the Body”. Nude figurative works, created by local artists, will be for sale. For each piece sold, there will be a 50:50 split- half going to the artist and the other half benefiting Planned Parenthood.
Our goals for this event are to raise funds for the health center, as well as to educate the public about the services the center provides and offer them a statistical overview of the health issues that plague our local community. These include topics such as: teen pregnancy, the high rate of STDs, HIV, women’s reproductive health issues, public policy, and current state legislation. We will also highlight how one can become an advocate for Planned Parenthood in Charleston.
Not only will this event support Planned Parenthood, it also supports the creative community in Charleston, providing local artists an opportunity to show and sell their work. This is a unique fundraiser where we are not asking them to donate anything.
It promises to be an amusing evening full of all kinds of clever surprises. The Local Honeys will provide stellar entertainment and beer and wine and bubbly will be served. We’ll be charging $20 at the door to cover costs of the event.
