The IMPPACT Group is a volunteer leadership group of Planned Parenthood in Roanoke, Virginia. Its members serve as advocates for reproductive healthcare and sex education. We engage in targeted short-term projects and organize educational and social events designed to make an IMPPACT.

Monique Ingram, Health Educator and Jessica Bearden, Public Policy Director will present a fun and informative look at sex education – past, present and future. We’ll view vintage sex education films, find out what Monique teaches in her sex education classes and generate ideas to help ensure more youth have access to comprehensive sex education in the Roanoke Valley.

All our volunteers are ambassadors for Planned Parenthood. What we say and how we say it conveys the vision and values of our organization. David Nova, Vice President, will offer a varitety of scenarios for disarming our opponents and engaging our supporters - even when their comments and behaviors might otherwise make us uncomfortable.
