Call for Art for ReNude

How would you renew the nude? The human form has driven and swayed religion, the sciences, and the arts; our bodies have been uncovered and covered in spirit and form throughout the centuries. Where are we now and what of the future?
Artists are invited to submit artwork on the theme of "Re-Nude" for a juried art show/gallery event organized by the Friends of Planned Parenthood of Beaufort (your neighbors in Pigeon Point, Dataw, Bay Street, Spring Island, and Hilton Head) to benefit Planned Parenthood Health Systems in South Carolina.
There is no fee to be a part of this show. Interpretation of the theme is encouraged and only original art (of any and all media) is accepted. The organizers reserve the right to accept only quality work in keeping with the theme, and standards of self-determination and health. Artists can submit a maximum of 4 pieces.
All accepted art will be priced by the artist and sold either as a 50/50 split, or full donations are much appreciated. When delivered, each piece must be ready to hang, and marked on the back with the title, price & artist name. Artists are invited gratis to the party on February 24th @ ARTworks in Beaufort Town Center.
The deadline to submit is Sunday, January 29, 2012. To apply and participate, send an email to the local arts coordinator volunteer at plannedart@hotmail.com. In the email, include your name and phone number, the price and dimensions of the artwork, and a small digital image (approximately 5x7 inches, labeled with your name) of the actual work, or representative work. In last year's Right to Shooz event, pieces priced below $150 sold well. Submission of a short biography and an artist statement will be requested when artists are notified by February 4th, 2012.
