Health Center Services and Information
Free pregnancy tests by walk-in or appointment Monday and Wednesdays, 10am - 12pm and 2 - 4:30pm, and on Thursdays 11am - 1pm and 3 - 5:30pm.
Emergency contraception pills (the brand Plan B One Step) available for sale, without prescription, during this health center's regular hours. For other brands of emergency contraception pills or for IUD insertion as emergency contraception, an appointment is required. Further information
Birth control refill pick-ups (for PPNYC patients only) are available Mondays and Wednesdays, 10am - 5:00pm. Thursdays, 11am - 6:00pm.
For all other services, appointments are encouraged (but sometimes we may be able to accommodate walk-ins). Although you may need an appointment, you can get birth control, STD testing, and testing/treatment for urinary tract infections without having a medical exam.
If you have an appointment at a PPNYC health center for an IUD insertion, please read "What To Do Before Your IUD Insertion Appointment" and follow those instructions before you come in for your appointment.
Our health center is closed for the following holidays:

- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Columbus Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Day after Thanksgiving
- Christmas Day
We do not provide childcare services. We request that you please make childcare arrangements.
If you are uninsured, you may qualify for a state-funded program or a lower fee scale.
We accept the following forms of payment:
- As payment, we accept cash, checks, money orders, and most health insurance plans, including Medicaid. For those who do not have insurance, on-site screening is available for health insurance (including the Medicaid Family Planning Benefit Program) and sliding-scale fees.

Please see the provided list of insurance plans to find out which ones include Planned Parenthood as an in-network provider.
Most health insurance plans now cover prescription birth control, annual wellness exams, and HIV and STI screenings with no copay, and many other services with some copay required. You should contact your health insurance company directly to confirm that the services you are interested in are covered, and what, if any, out-of-pocket costs you are required to pay.
Please be sure to bring your insurance card to your visit.
