Street parking is available, but limited. 2-hour parking can be found in these locations:

  • East side of Howard Street in front of our office, cash and credit card accepted.
  • Mulberry Street next to our office, quarters only.

There are several paid full-day parking lots in the area, ranging from $6-8. Full-day parking can be found in these locations:

  • 309 North Howard Street
  • Eutaw and Mulberry
  • Franklin and Howard
  • Franklin and Paca
  • 229 West Saratoga

We are also located by the the Lexington Market metro and Centre Street Lightrail stops. We are served by bus lines 3, 5, 15, 19, and 91.

Health Center Services and Information

Walk-in Services

Walk-in appointments for pregnancy testing and emergency contraception (the morning after pill) are always available up to an hour before clinic closure.

All other visits require an appointment; please call for additional information or to schedule an appointment.

  • Martin Luther King Day
  • Presidents Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day

Appointment Information

Teen clinic is available: Thursday from 4:30pm to 7:00pm.

Don't forget your high school ID, class schedule, or report card.

Birth control refill pick ups are available during weekday business hours. Call the refill request line for your health center to order refills 24 hours prior to pick up.

At this health center you can come in for appointments that do not require a medical exam. For example, birth control education and supplies: emergency contraception (morning after pill); pregnancy testing; HIV testing; sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment

We do not provide childcare services. We request that you please make childcare arrangements.

Medicaid accepted.

If you are uninsured, you may qualify for a state-funded program or a lower fee scale. Please bring the following documents:

  • photo ID
  • Patient should bring 2 pay stubs from the last 30 days or a bank statement from the last 60 days showing 30 days of activity or W2 from the previous year or a letter on letterhead stating your income for a specific time period or a high school id, report card or current high school class schedule

We accept the following forms of payment:

  • cash
  • checks
  • major credit/debit cards

Payment is expected at time of service.

For clients with accepted insurance the required co-pay or payment toward your deductable will be collected at the time of the visit.

For all other clients the full fee will be charged.

Insurance Information

Some charges associated with your services may be covered by your insurance or a state- funded program. If you want to use your insurance, please be sure to bring in your insurance information at the time of your visit.

Baltimore City Health Center offers the following women's health services:

  • checkups when you have a reproductive/sexual health problem
  • breast exams
  • cervical cancer screening
  • colposcopy
  • mammogram referrals
  • Pap test
  • urinary tract infections — testing and treatment
  • vaginal infections — testing and treatment
  • Other services we may provide include help with irregular periods or no periods, painful periods, painful sex, bleeding between periods, menstrual problems (premenstrual syndrome) or even a lost tampon.

Women's health services are available:

  • during all business hours by appointment

Here’s what you need to know in preparation for a women's health visit at this health center:

Checkups for gynecological concerns may require a pelvic exam.

For the testing and treatment of urinary tract infections, we will need to collect a urine sample at the time of your visit.

For the testing and treatment of vaginal infections, a pelvic exam may be required.

A Pap test is sometimes needed during a routine checkup.

Cervical cancer screening requires a pelvic exam and Pap test.

Prices and Payment Information

  • comprehensive (routine) gynecological exam visit - $0-$111
  • problem-focused gynecological visit - $0-$182
  • cervical cancer screening - $0-$111
  • colposcopy - $100-$400

Some services may have additional charges for lab and blood work.

Payment is expected at time of service unless other arrangements have been previously made.

Abortion services may be covered by your insurance. If you want to use your insurance, please be sure to bring in your insurance information at the time of your visit.
