Health Center Services and Information
Walk-in Services
We always recommend an appointment but make every effort to see walk-ins when possible every day. However, If we have a high number of patients, we may not be able to see every walk-in. We may ask you to return on another day or make an appointment if applicable.
For patients who need to be seen for a medical visit please arrive before 2p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays. For patients who need emergency contraception, pregnancy testing or coming back for treatment or Depo injection, please arrive at least one hour prior to closing.
All other services require an appointment.
If you need emergency contraception (morning after pill), you can walk in any time the health center is open.
Payment is expected at the time of service. Proof of identity, income and current address are also needed. Patients without Medicaid, insurance or any other form of pay source may apply for a financial discount but are expected to provide documentation of proof of income.
Accepted income documents include but are not limited to: current paystubs (one month's worth is preferred), statement from employer, documentation of child/spouse support, unemployment benefit letter, or any other benefit letters.
Accepted identity documents include: one photo id: driver's license, school ID, passport, alien registration card (green card) or two non-photo ids: library card, birth certificate, social security card, utility bill, credit card or insurance card.

- Day after Thanksgiving
- Christmas Eve
- Christmas Day
- New Year's Eve
Appointment Information
Birth control refill pick ups are available Anytime during normal business hours.
We ask that you call the "Pill Pick Up" line to place your refill order at least 24 hours prior to arriving to pick up your refill. (Please keep in mind you can only pick up refills on days the clinic is open.
You can access the pill line by calling (859)252-8494 and press option 4.
Please arrive 20 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to check in and complete paperwork.
Payment Information
Medicaid accepted.
Fees for services are based on your household income.
Please bring proof of income when you arrive for your visit.
We accept the following forms of payment:

- major credit/debit cards
Payment is expected at time of service.
Insurance Information
The following insurance plans are accepted at this health center: We accept:
Anthem, Humana, United Health Care, Bluegrass Family Health, and Medicaid (Wellcare, Coventry, and KY Spirit).
We do recommend that you check with your insurance company to ensure we are in-network with your particular plan. If you want to use your insurance, please be sure to bring in your insurance information at the time of your visit.

Men's Health Care in Lexington, KY
Bluegrass Health Center offers the following men's health services:
- checkups when you have a reproductive/sexual health problem
- urinary tract infections — testing and treatment
- Sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment.
Men's health services are available:
- on a walk-in basis: We make every effort to accomodate walk-in patients every day the clinic is open. However, If we have a high number of patients, we may not be able to see every walk-in. We may ask you to return on another day or make an appointment if applicable.
For patients who need to be seen for a medical visit or showing symptoms, please arrive before 11a.m on Monday and Friday and before Noon on Tuesdays.
For patients who need emergency contraception, pregnancy testing or coming back for treatment, please arrive at least one hour prior to closing.
We always recommend an appointment but make every effort to see walk-ins when possible. - during all business hours by appointment
We make every effort to accomodate walk in patients. We ask that you arrive at least 45 minutes prior to closing.
