Note: The Athens Health Center will have a clinician on-site for prescription pickups Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Patients may pick up prescriptions by pre-order on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

On days when we do not have a clinician, we offer HIV testing, pregnancy testing, gardasil injections (if you already have seen the physician for an order), Depo injections and options counseling.

English; Interpretation by telephone available for other languages.

***Due to Ohio Pharmacy Regulations Medications may only be dispensed when there is a physician on site, sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.

Appointment Information

We do not provide childcare services. We request that you please make childcare arrangements.

Children under the age of 10 are not allowed to wait unsupervised in the waiting area.

Only infants and toddlers in a car seat or stroller are allowed into the exam room. We request that you please make arrangements for childcare for any other children.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to check in and complete paperwork.

Other Health Center Information

Pills by Mail is available at this health center - a service that delivers birth control pills to your home. Patients with a current prescription for birth control pills at our health center can order Pills by Mail.

Payment Information

Medicaid accepted.

Medicaid, Unison, Molina, and CareSource. If you will be using your insurance or Medicaid, you must bring a photo ID. accepted.

Most health insurance plans now cover prescription birth control, annual wellness exams, and HIV and STI screenings with no copay, and many other services with some copay required. You should contact your health insurance company directly to confirm that the services you are interested in are covered, and what, if any, out-of-pocket costs you are required to pay.
