All other services require an appointment.
If you need emergency contraception (morning after pill), you can walk in any time the health center is open.

Abortion Services
7th Avenue Surgical Center offers the following services:
- abortion pill (medication abortion)
- in-clinic abortion
- sedation options (medication to make the abortion more comfortable)
- pre- and post-abortion patient education
- referrals for abortion services
- referrals for abortion-related counseling
Here’s what you need to know about abortion services at this health center:
Abortion Pill (Medication Abortion)
Abortion pill (medication abortion) is offered up to 9 weeks after the start of your last menstrual period.
Abortion pill (medication abortion) services are available by appointment only.
Plan to be at the health center for 2-3 hour(s) for your entire abortion pill visit (medication abortion).
During the abortion pill (medication abortion) visit, you must agree — before you start — that you will have an in-clinic abortion if the abortion pill does not work.
After your abortion pill visit, you will need access to a telephone, transportation, and backup medical care available to you once you are home.
In-Clinic Abortion
In-clinic abortion is offered up to 24 weeks after the start of your last menstrual period.
In-clinic abortions are available by appointment only.
Plan to be at the health center for 4-5 hours for your entire visit for an in-clinic abortion.
If you desire medication to help make your in-clinic abortion more comfortable, you must have a responsible companion with you to help you get home safely.
If you are more than 12 weeks pregnant, your in-clinic abortion may require multiple visits.
If you plan to have sedation, please do not eat for 6 hours before your appointment.
If you have asthma, bring an inhaler if you have one.
Other Abortion Services Information
Please do not bring children with you to the health center.
If you take any medications, please continue to take these medications normally before your appointment.
During your visit, you may be given the following:
- a chance to speak with a trained staff person about all of your choices: abortion, adoption, and parenting
- a conversation with the health care provider about your health history
- lab tests/blood work
- a pelvic exam
- an ultrasound
- medications to make the abortion more comfortable
- medication if you are Rh negative
- antibiotics or other medications
- birth control information
- a birth control method
At times there may be protesters outside of the health center. We suggest you avoid interaction with them.
Abortion by medication available Mondays
Surgical abortion available Sunday-Thursday
Sundays-Any gestational size under 18 weeks
Mondays-Any gestational size under 18 weeks
Tuesdays-Any gestational size. Any patient over 18 weeks must be started on Tuesday. Patients whose gestational size is over 18 weeks are three-day procedures.
On day one (Tuesday) and day two (Wednesday) patients receive laminaria, day three (Thursday) is the surgical procedure.
Wednesday-Any gestational size 18 weeks and under
Thursday-Any gestational size 12 weeks and under

Here’s what you need to know about getting emergency contraception (morning after pill) at this health center:
Emergency contraception is available over the counter for women and men 17 and older. If you can’t make it in to a Planned Parenthood health center, you may be able to get emergency contraception at a nearby pharmacy.
Women under age 17 can get prescription emergency contraception following a visit with a Planned Parenthood health care provider.
