Health Center Services and Information

Walk-in Services

Free pregnancy tests by walk-in or appointment on Wednesday, 9:30 am - 3:30 pm; Thursday, 12:30 - 3:30 pm; & Saturday, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm.

Emergency contraception pills (the brand Plan B One Step) available for sale, without prescription, Monday - Saturday, during this health center's regular hours. For other brands of emergency contraception pills or for IUD insertion as emergency contraception, an appointment is required. Further information

Birth control refill pick-ups (for PPNYC patients only) available Tuesday, Wednesday, & Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm; Thursday, 8:00am -6:30pm; Saturday, 8:30am - 3:30pm. On days of pre-holiday early closure at 3 pm (August 30 and November 27), refill pick-up is available until 2:30pm.

All other services require an appointment. Although you need an appointment, you can get birth control, STD testing, and testing/treatment for urinary tract infections without having a medical exam.

If you have an appointment at a PPNYC health center for an IUD insertion, please read "What To Do Before Your IUD Insertion Appointment" and follow those instructions before you come in for your appointment.

Appointment Information

We do not provide childcare services. We request that you please make childcare arrangements.

Payment Information

Medicaid accepted.

If you are uninsured, you may qualify for a state-funded program or a lower fee scale.

We accept the following forms of payment:

  • As payment, we accept cash, checks, money orders, major credit cards, and most health insurance plans, including Medicaid. For those who do not have insurance, on-site screening is available for health insurance (including the Medicaid Family Planning Benefit Program) and sliding-scale fees.

Insurance Information

Please see the provided list of insurance plans to find out which ones include Planned Parenthood as an in-network provider.

Most health insurance plans now cover prescription birth control, annual wellness exams, and HIV and STI screenings with no copay, and many other services with some copay required. You should contact your health insurance company directly to confirm that the services you are interested in are covered, and what, if any, out-of-pocket costs you are required to pay.

Please be sure to bring your insurance card to your visit.
