Health Center Services and Information
Walk-in Services
Free pregnancy tests by walk-in or appointment on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 8:30am - 11:30am and 1:30pm - 3:30pm. Free walk-in pregnancy testing is also available one Wednesday per month, but not on Saturdays. Upcoming Wednesdays: June 12, 2013, 1:00 - 3:30pm and June 26, 2013, 1:00 - 3:30pm.
Emergency contraception for sale if aged 17 or over, Monday - Saturday, during this health center's regular hours. Under 17, by appointment.
Birth control refill pick-ups (for PPNYC patients only) available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm; Thursday 8:00am - 6:30pm; Saturday 8:00am - 3:30pm. On days of pre-holiday early closure at 3 pm (August 30 and November 27), refill pick-up is available until 2:30pm.
All other services require an appointment. Although you need an appointment, you can get birth control, STD testing, and testing/treatment for urinary tract infections without having a medical exam.

We do not provide childcare services. We request that you please make childcare arrangements.

If you are uninsured, you may qualify for a state-funded program or a lower fee scale.

- As payment, we accept cash, checks, money orders, major credit cards, and most health insurance plans, including Medicaid. For those who do not have insurance, on-site screening is available for health insurance (including the Medicaid Family Planning Benefit Program) and sliding-scale fees.

STD Testing, Treatment & Vaccines in Brooklyn, NY
Boro Hall Center offers the following services related to the testing and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs):
- STD testing, diagnosis and treatment, including:
- bacterial vaginosis (BV)
- chlamydia
- genital warts
- gonorrhea
- herpes
- HIV (testing and diagnosis only)
- syphilis
- trichomoniasis (trich)
- Other STD testing, diagnosis and treatment services are also available. Please ask our staff for more information.
- STD prevention, including:
- condoms
- female condoms
- HPV vaccine (Gardasil)
- STD/safer sex education
STD testing and treatment services are available:
- during all business hours by appointment
Public and private insurance plans generally cover the HPV vaccine for females and males aged 9-26. If you are outside these ages and interested in the vaccine, please speak with a PPNYC clinician.
Minors under the age of 18 who wish to get the HPV vaccine must be accompanied by a parent who will sign a consent form. HPV vaccination is the only health care service provided by PPNYC for which a minor needs a parent's consent.

Here’s what you need to know about STD testing and treatment at this health center:
Many STD tests require a genital exam.
Rapid HIV testing can be done by swabbing the inside of your mouth or with a blood sample taken from a finger stick. The results are available in 10-40 minutes.
HIV testing is done by a blood draw. The results are available in 14 days.
Counseling and confidential (private) testing for STDs are provided by trained staff who are sensitive to your needs and concerns.
