Appointment Information
Birth control refill pick ups are available during all business hours.
At this health center you can come in for appointments that do not require a medical exam. For example, birth control education and supplies; emergency contraception (morning after pill); pregnancy testing and counseling; STD testing; testing and treatment for urinary tract infections
We do not provide childcare services. We request that you please make childcare arrangements.
Children under the age of 12 are not allowed to wait unsupervised in the waiting area.
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to check in and complete paperwork.
Specialty Services
Plan Now Pay Later® is available at this health center — a convenient, low, monthly payment plan for many of our health center services, including the ability to visit us for one appointment and walk out the door with up to a year’s supply of birth control.
Payment Information
If you are uninsured, you may qualify for a state-funded program or a lower fee scale. Please bring the following documents:
- photo ID
Fees for services are based on your household income.
You will not be turned away because of your inability to pay.
We accept the following forms of payment:
- cash
- major credit/debit cards
Payment is expected at time of service.
- If you want to use your insurance, please be sure to bring in your insurance information at the time of your visit. Please make sure to contact your insurance, before your appointment day, to check if an authorization is needed. If an authorization is needed, make sure to bring it with you on the day of your appointment.
- If you plan to pay for your visit with a credit card that is not your own, the cardholder must accompany you for the visit and provide the credit card and a photo ID.
Insurance Information
Some charges associated with your services may be covered by your insurance or a state- funded program. If you want to use your insurance, please be sure to bring in your insurance information at the time of your visit.

Men's Health Care in San Diego, CA
College Avenue Sarah Weddington Center offers the following men's health services:
- checkups when you have a reproductive/sexual health problem
- vasectomy
Men's health services are available:
- during all business hours by appointment
- Only counseling is available at this health center for Vasectomies.
Here’s what you need to know in preparation for a men's health visit at this health center:
Checkups when you have a reproductive/sexual health problem may require a genital exam.
A vasectomy usually requires two visits - one for education and consent, and another for the surgery itself. A semen sample will be needed after three months to confirm that the vasectomy was successful.
Prices and Payment Information
Price ranges for our men's services are:
- checkups - $19-$242
- vasectomy - $19-$38 (Counseling Only)
Some services may have additional charges for lab and blood work.
Payment is expected at time of service unless other arrangements have been previously made.
Abortion services may be covered by your insurance. If you want to use your insurance, please be sure to bring in your insurance information at the time of your visit.
