We are open every Saturday for supplies and pregnancy test. We are open the 2nd and 4th for APN visits.

Languages

English; Spanish; Interpretation by telephone available for other languages. If an interpreter has to be in the clinic at the time of the appointment, we require three (3) days notice.

Health Center Services and Information

Walk-in Services

All services at this health center are available on a walk-in basis. Scheduled appointments are also available.

If you need emergency contraception (morning after pill), you can walk in any time the health center is open.

Our health center is closed for the following holidays:

  • Easter
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Day after Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Day

Appointment Information

Birth control refill pick ups are available during all regular business hours. If you are coming in for your next depo shot, it could be to your advantage to schedule an appointment.

At this health center you can come in for appointments that do not require a medical exam. For example, birth control education and supplies; emergency contraception (morning after pill);pregnancy testing and counceling; STD testing

We do not provide childcare services. We request that you please make childcare arrangements.

Only infants and toddlers in a car seat or stroller are allowed into the exam room. We request that you please make arrangements for childcare for any other children.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to check in and complete paperwork.

Other Health Center Information

We offer post-abortion follow-up exams and referral for abortion services.

Payment Information

Medicaid accepted.

STD Testing, Treatment & Vaccines in Cedar Hill, TX

Cedar Hill Health Center offers the following services related to the testing and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs):

  • STD testing, diagnosis and treatment, including:
    • bacterial vaginosis (BV)
    • chlamydia
    • genital warts
    • gonorrhea
    • herpes
    • HIV (testing and diagnosis only)
    • syphilis
    • trichomoniasis (trich)
    • Other STD testing, diagnosis and treatment services are also available. Please ask our staff for more information.
  • STD prevention, including:
    • condoms
    • female condoms
    • dental dams
  • STD/safer sex education

STD testing and treatment services are available:

  • on a walk-in basis: walk-ins are accepted as schedule allows
  • during all business hours by appointment

Open 1st & 3rd Sat. of each month for all services - open the 2nd and 4th Saturdays for supplies and testing only,

No nurse available on Thursdays for services that require exams.

Here’s what you need to know about STD testing and treatment at this health center:

We can test for gonorrhea and chlamydia using a urine sample. If this test shows an infection, then we will provide you with treatment and explain how your partner(s) can be treated.

For testing involving urine samples, including chlamydia and gonorrhea, do not urinate or engage in sexual intercourse for one hour before testing.

Many STD tests require a genital exam.

HIV testing is done by a blood draw. The results are available in 2 days.

Counseling and anonymous (without your name) or confidential (private) testing for HIV are provided by trained staff who are sensitive to your needs and concerns.

Counseling and confidential (private) testing for STDs are provided by trained staff who are sensitive to your needs and concerns.

STI testing without an examination is available to asymptomic clients. Patients with symptoms require an examination at time of testing.

HIV and Syphilis: Testing and diagnosis only. Referrals for treatment provided as needed.
