Health Center Services and Information
Walk-in Services
Any service that requires a clinician is only available the following days:
Mondays: 10:00am - 3:00pm
Wednesdays: 12:00pm - 5:00pm
All other services require an appointment.
If you need emergency contraception (morning after pill), you can walk in any time the health center is open.
Not all services are available every day - please check for more information by clicking on the specific Service listed to the right or call to make an appointment.

Appointment Information
At this health center you can come in for appointments that do not require a medical exam. For example, birth control education and supplies; emergency contraception (morning after pill); pregnancy testing and options education; STD testing.
We do not provide childcare services. We request that you please make childcare arrangements.
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to check in and complete paperwork.
Specialty Services
Pills by Mail is available at this health center — a service that delivers birth control pills to your home each month. Patients with a current prescription for some of the birth control pills that we offer at our health center can order Pills by Mail.
Payment Information
Medicaid accepted.
Fees for services are based on your household income.
Please bring proof of income when you arrive for your visit.
We accept the following forms of payment:
- cash
- checks
- major credit/debit cards
- money orders
- Please note we do not accept checks or Colorado Medicaid as payment for abortion services.
To help prevent identify theft, please bring photo ID with any non-cash form of payment (including insurance).
Payment is expected at time of service.
If you plan to pay for your visit with a credit card that is not your own, you must bring a letter from the cardholder with you.

Some charges associated with your services may be covered by your insurance. If you want to use your insurance, please be sure to bring in your insurance information at the time of your visit.

Abortion Services in Alamosa, CO
Alamosa offers the following services:
- abortion pill (medication abortion)
- pre- and post-abortion patient education
- post-abortion follow-up exams
- referrals for other abortion services, as needed

Here’s what you need to know about abortion services at this health center:
Abortion Pill (Medication Abortion)
Abortion pill (medication abortion) is offered up to 9 weeks after the start of your last menstrual period. If your last period was more than 9 weeks ago, we can still help. Call us for a referral list of health care providers in your area that offer other abortion services.
Abortion pill (medication abortion) services are available by appointment only.
Plan to be at the health center for 2-3 hour(s) for your entire abortion pill visit (medication abortion).
During the abortion pill (medication abortion) visit, you must agree — before you start — that you will have an in-clinic abortion if the abortion pill does not work.
After your abortion pill visit, you will need access to a telephone, transportation, and backup medical care available to you once you are home.
Other Abortion Services Information
Please do not bring children with you to the health center.
If you take any medications, please continue to take these medications normally before your appointment.
During your visit, you may be given the following:
- a pregnancy test
- a chance to speak with a trained staff person about all of your choices: abortion, adoption, and parenting
- a conversation with the health care provider about your health history
- lab tests/blood work
- a pelvic exam
- an ultrasound
- medications to make the abortion more comfortable
- medication if you are Rh negative
- antibiotics or other medications
- birth control information
- a birth control method
We offer the abortion pill one day a week, every other week. Please call for an appointment and more scheduling information.
Please note that we do not accept checks or Colorado Medicaid as payment for abortion services.
For Patients Under 18
If you are a minor considering an abortion, please read about parental consent and notification laws that might apply in your state.
Prices and Payment Information
Price ranges for our abortion services are:
- abortion pill (medication abortion) - $435
- ultrasound only - $90
- medication if you are Rh negative - $60
Some services may have additional charges for lab and blood work
Payment is expected at time of service unless other arrangements have been previously made.
Abortion services may be covered by your insurance. If you want to use your insurance, please be sure to bring in your insurance information at the time of your visit.
If you are uninsured, you may be eligible to receive financial assistance for your procedure. You can confidentially find out if you qualify by calling us at 719.589.4906. If you are eligible for financial assistance, you may be asked to bring documentation with you to the health center.
