If you would like to make a donation to the Wahine Choice Fund at any time, please call Sheila O'Keefe at 808-589-1156 ext. 225, or mail your check or credit card information to the Planned Parenthood of Hawaii Wahine Choice Fund, 1350 S. King Street, Suite 309, Honolulu, HI 96814. The Wahine Choice Fund, founded by the Honolulu Unitarian Universalist Women's Federation (HUUWF) in partnership with Planned Parenthood of Hawaii, is a revolving loan fund that helps women who need abortions but are unable to pay for them. Wahine Choice has helped hundreds of women seeking reproductive choice over the past 10 years.
Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) and United Ways. We are also a recognized nonprofit 501(c)(3) charity and are fully eligible for employee designations through ALL of the Fall 2011 workplace giving campaigns: CFC, Code 16104; Aloha United Way, Code 70210. For Hawaii Island, please contact your workplace campaign coordinator for donor designation information.
Life insurance policies. PPHI can be named as one or as the sole beneficiary of proceeds from a life insurance policy. Donors may also purchase policies that designate PPHI as the owner and beneficiary.

Gifts of stock or other securities. Making a donation of stocks, bonds, or mutual funds offers unique advantages. The total value of the stock upon transfer is tax deductible and there are generally no capital gains taxes on any appreciation. Contact the PPHI Development Office at 808-589-1156 ext. 225 to arrange this sort of donation.
The IRA Charitable Rollover program allows individuals aged 701/2 and older to donate up to $100,000 to charities from their individual retirement account (IRA) without having to count the distributions as taxable income. This provision is scheduled to end as of 12/31/2011. If you are required to make withdrawals, this may be a way to offset taxes and make a significant contribution of support for PPHI.
Remember PPHI in your estate plan. One of the simplest and most significant things you can do to ensure the future of Planned Parenthood is to include us in your will or through other estate-planning measures.
