TEXAS
To be eligible to register in Texas, you must:
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Be a resident of the county
- Be 18 years old (you may register at 17 years and 10 months);
- Not a convicted felon (unless a person's sentence is completed, including any probation or parole)
- Not declared mentally incapacitated by a court of law

- Last day to register to vote: October 4
- Early Voting in person: October 18-29
- Deadline for an application for a ballot by mail to be received by Early Voting Clerk: October 26
- Election Day: November 2

LOUISIANA
To be eligible to register in Louisiana, you must:
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Reside in the state and parish in which you seek to register
- Be at least 17 years old but must be 18 years old prior to next election to vote
- Not be under an order of imprisonment for conviction of a felony
- Not be under a judgment of full interdiction for mental incompetence or partial interdiction with suspension of voting rights
