On November 10th, more than 850 supporters attended Planned Parenthood’s sold-out Annual Dinner in Austin at the Renaissance Hotel. Thanks to Austin supporters, the event raised more than $750,000 to support of Planned Parenthood’s essential health care and education services for the patients who count on us.
The dinner featured keynote speaker Ellen Goodman, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and co-founder of The Conversation Project. Planned Parenthood was proud to honor the law firm of Graves, Dougherty, Hearon, and Moody with the 9th annual Robbie and Tom Ausley Leadership Award for their commitment to preserving healthcare access for low-income Texas women. As a special one-time award due to extraordinary leadership during the Special Sessions this summer, Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas was proud to honor Senator Kirk Watson for his mastery of Senate rules, fearless focus under pressure, and unwavering commitment to women's health.
Thank you to Austin event chairs Bonnie K. Mills and Jade Chang Sheppard. During this time of slashed funding for women’s health and ongoing political attacks on women’s constitutional rights, Planned Parenthood’s services are more vital now than ever. Thanks to all of you who attended this successful event!
