Sexual Assault Exams
Planned Parenthood of Greater Iowa is a partner of the Mid-Iowa and Story County Sexual Assault Response Teams (SART). If you or someone you know has been sexually assaulted he/she should call the Iowa Sexual Abuse Hotline 1.800.284.7821. Trained staff will direct you to a crisis center in your county.
Planned Parenthood’s Rosenfield Center in Des Moines has a designated sexual assault examination room with a colposcope that allows the examiner to view any injuries and take photographs for evidence.
