PlanSmart: Free or Reduced Cost Birth Control!
You may be eligible to receive FREE or reduced-cost birth control services through Planned Parenthood of Greater Iowa’s PlanSmart program. PlanSmart is our program that provides financial assistance to family planning patients. Through PlanSmart, you may receive assistance from the Iowa Family Planning Network, Title X, other family planning programs or a sliding fee discount scale.
Our qualified health professionals can provide family planning services including birth control pills, annual exams, pregnancy tests and family planning services. We always promise you complete confidentiality.
We offer several programs to help you pay for your birth control supplies and services. Let us help find the right program for you! The following family planning services are provided at Planned Parenthood of Greater Iowa clinics statewide (note: the services may depend on which program you qualify for):
• Birth control exams
• Birth control supplies (like pills, condoms and other methods)
• Birth control counseling
• Limited testing & treatment for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs)
• Pap tests
• Pregnancy tests
• Voluntary female sterilization
• Plan B (Emergency contraception)

All PPGI patients who receive their birth control supplies through the Iowa Family Planning Network (IFPN), Title X or self-pay may now sign-up for PPGI’s c-mail program. c-mail (“contraceptives by mail”) automatically mails your birth control pills or patches so there’s no need to visit the clinic!
