Fall Book Sale 2008

When: September 11–15, 2008

Where: 4-H Building at the State Fairgrounds

Times:

DAYS HOURS
Thursday, Sept. 11 4 p.m.–10 p.m.
Friday, Sept. 12 9 a.m.–9 p.m.
Saturday, Sept. 13 9 a.m.–9 p.m.
Sunday, Sept. 14 9 a.m.–6 p.m.
Monday, Sept. 15 9 a.m.–6 p.m.

Admission:
Opening Night Admission: $10 adults and $10 children
FREE Admission all other days

Why:
To raise funds for the support and expansion of the education and community outreach programs of Planned Parenthood of Greater Iowa.

What:
A book lover's paradise, the sale offers hundreds of thousands of books and related items, all categorized and individually marked. Books range from collectible "oldies" to recent best-sellers and include first editions and rare finds, plus CDs, DVDs, puzzles and posters. Customers return year after year (and day after day), many setting up chairs at dawn on the first day for the grand opening!


Book Donations/Volunteering
Donations are received throughout the year from individuals, publishers, libraries, universities, colleges and other institutions. Over the course of the year more than 750 volunteers sort, price, pack, move and display the books. New volunteers are always welcome.
