"We are extremely pleased by the HPV vaccination recommendations made today by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices. Their recommendation for widespread vaccination is an important step forward in eradicating cervical cancer in future generations. Now we must ensure that funding is made available to fully meet HPV immunization needs and that the public is educated about the importance of this milestone development. We urge that states add HPV immunization to their school vaccination requirements."
