Resources for Parents
Being a parent can be tough, especially when it comes to talking with your kids about sensitive subjects like sexuality or relationships. Planned Parenthood of East Central Illinois provides you with the resources you need to keep your family healthy. We've been helping families just like yours since 1940.
Resource Library and Parent Packs Planned Parenthood of East Central Illinois offers two public resource libraries with hundreds of books, videos, games and other resources that make it easier to talk with your kids about sexuality, relationships and other issues. Resource libraries are available in Champaign and Bloomington and offer these items for rental in exchange for a small donation. Parent packs are available at both resource libraries and provide parents and caretakers with age-appropriate and gender-specific resources about specific sexuality topics. The following packs are available for rent:

Downloadable Materials Planned Parenthood of East Central Illinois produces brochures and materials that provide resources and tips for addressing challenging subjects. The following downloadable resources will provide you with information on talking with your kids, becoming an "askable" parent, and more. Community Presentations Planned Parenthood of East Central Illinois' Teen Awareness Group, a group of peer sexuality educators, are available for presentations in the Bloomington-Normal and Champaign-Urbana areas. Members of the groups of high school students present on a variety of topics related to sexuality, sexual health, peer pressure, violence prevention, and parent-teen communication. Supporting Sexuality Education In recent years, funding for sexuality education has become more limited. By donating to Planned Parenthood of East Central Illinois, you can help ensure that resources like the Teen Awareness Group and Resource Libraries are available to families in our area.
