The Legacy Society is an extraordinary group of individuals who share a commitment to safeguarding the future of Planned Parenthood. In doing so, they have named Planned Parenthood Federation of America as a beneficiary of their estate plans. We are most grateful for their generosity and support.
The thoughtfulness and vision of these donors is vital to Planned Parenthood's continuing work and leadership in the field of family planning and reproductive health. It is our great pleasure to acknowledge these very special friends.
If you have included Planned Parenthood in your estate plans and would like to become a member of the Legacy Society, please contact us.

"As a young woman, I supported Planned Parenthood because the organization was working to defend my right to become a parent when I was ready to take on that responsibility. As a mother with two daughters, I supported Planned Parenthood because of the wonderfully personal yet highly professional healthcare my daughters received at a Planned Parenthood facility in Chicago. As an older woman, I continue to support Planned Parenthood because women’s reproductive rights are still threatened, and I want to ensure that my granddaughters will have access to the same rights, resources, and healthcare that I and my daughters have had." — L.R. |
| "I believe that women should have full control over their bodies and fertility. Through reproductive heath care, education, and access to services, Planned Parenthood supports women in their decision of when or whether to have children, and to attain a higher quality of life for themselves and their families so that thousands of children won't die." — I.H. |
| "Our belief in Planned Parenthood is straightforward and clear-cut! We’re proud to support Planned Parenthood. We know family planning is important in raising healthy children. We would like to thank the dedicated staff of Planned Parenthood for providing family planning services." — R.H. and M.H. | |

"My husband Jim and I together supported Planned Parenthood and what it stands for: Women's reproductive health care, the right to choose, family planning, comprehensive sexual education, and that all children should be wanted and loved. We shared the belief that women themselves make wise and careful decisions about whether and when to have children, and we felt that women who choose abortion must have access to one that is safe and legal. |

"I have been involved with Planned Parenthood for over 60 years, first as a practicing gynecologist and later as an enthusiastic supporter. I worked in the first Planned Parenthood clinic in the city of Baltimore and then started more family planning clinics in Baltimore, Howard, and Cecil counties in Maryland. I have always believed that every child should be a wanted child. Every woman should have the freedom to follow her own path in life, making motherhood and career choices that are most fulfilling for her. These principles have long been the hopes and prayers of all American women and their families. To this work I gladly give my support – physically, morally, and financially." — M.P.B |
| "I support Planned Parenthood because I firmly believe that no one should ever have to bear an unwanted pregnancy, and no child should have to come into this world in the absence of a loving family to support it." — M.J. | |
| "For many reasons, I have supported Planned Parenthood over the years and have included Planned Parenthood in my will. As an 18-year-old college student, I was sexually active but very naive about birth control. I ended up undergoing an illegal abortion, followed by contraceptive advice and supplies from Planned Parenthood. The lack of access to a safe abortion and exposure to an organization dedicated to providing information and choice, has endeared me to Planned Parenthood and made me a lifelong supporter. "As an adult, I've traveled often to many developing countries. I know access to affordable and available birth control is so important in the lives of these women and their families. We may debate whether smaller families lead to better economic development or whether increased economic development fosters smaller families. But for sure, there is a strong correlation between women's (and men's) access to family planning and a better standard of life. "My personal experiences and my travels abroad have led me and my husband to generously donate to Planned Parenthood. Maybe someday through international, federal, state, and local government programs the services Planned Parenthood provides will be readily available; until then, we must support Planned Parenthood privately." — T.S. | |
