Our first Voices of Choice Luncheon featured guest speaker
Dr. Kenneth Edelin
Our first Voices of Choice Luncheon with Dr. Edelin, held on November 17, 2008, was informative, moving, and inspiring. While serving as Chief Resident in Obstetrics at Boston City Hospital, Dr. Edelin was charged with manslaughter for performing a safe and legal second trimester abortion. His case drew national attention and Dr. Edelin, who is African-American, has recently published “Broken Justice: A True Story of Race, Sex and Revenge in a Boston Courtroom.” He has devoted his life to advocating for reproductive freedom and equal access to reproductive health care.
Stay tuned for our next Voices of Choice Luncheon!
