On March 15, 2010, Planned Parenthood of Collier County held its 14th Annual Reach for Your Dreams Conference for at-risk teen girls in Collier County.  Nearly 80 students from the Teenage Parenting Program in Naples and Immokalee participated in this year’s conference.  The event was held at the Collier County Public Library and featured actress Sally Matson and FGCU Professor Kris DeWelde.  

In honor of National Women's History Month, Ms. Matson performed a one-woman show of famous suffragist and abolitionist Susan B. Anthony.  Dr. DeWelde then engaged the girls in a lively discussion about the relevance of Susan B. Anthony's work to their lives today, and spoke to them about girl power, self-esteem, and their futures.
