Who We Are

Since 1967, Planned Parenthood of Central Washington has provided education, advocacy and reproductive health care to women, men and families.

PPCW serves over 21,000 patients a year in five full service health centers and seven express health centers throughout a twelve county-area of Central and Eastern Washington. We ensure affordable, quality reproductive health care to all individuals regardless of age, race or income.

Our Mission Statement

Planned Parenthood of Central Washington (PPCW) exists to assure that all people are empowered to make reproductive health choices and have access to the quality health care and sexuality education required to exercise those choices.

To achieve this mission, PPCW will:

  • Provide comprehensive reproductive health services;
  • Provide education programs which enhance understanding of the personal and societal implications of human sexuality;
  • Advocate public policies which guarantee the right of every person to make voluntary decisions about sexuality, child bearing, and parenting;
  • Maintain special concern for underserved, low income, adolescent, and minority populations in all services, policies and positions.

We Believe

We believe that the survival of this planet depends on creating a world where women and men can manage their fertility with safety and dignity and in concert with their own cultural and religious backgrounds.

We believe that all people, including children and youth, have a right to be knowledgeable about their sexual choices and learn how to behave responsibly, guided by their own individual standards of morality.

We are an unrelenting champion of PREVENTION first and INTERVENTION second.

Margaret Sanger knew that although our movement could make strides to end sexual oppression and ignorance so that individuals could thrive, the forces of government and public policy would never act wisely unless we successfully engaged in the political domain. Our commitment to legislative advocacy remains faithful to Margaret Sanger's vision.
