At the national level this year, we have been buffeted with unprecedented challenges and attacks. In Pennsylvania, our legislature devoted over 30% of their time to introducing laws designed to restrict access to abortion services and reproductive health care. In 1935, our founding mothers would never have imagined that, 76 years hence, we'd still be fighting these battles. But we are.
Misconceptions about Planned Parenthood are legendary and many have been exposed this year (remember Senator Kyl's "not intended to be a factual statement" that "over 90% of what Planned Parenthood does is abortion" ?). For this year's annual report, we thought it would be helpful for our supporters to see the faces and hear the voices of clients, staff, volunteers and donors who ARE Planned Parenthood of Central PA.
