What to Expect at Your Visit
An annual exam, including a Pap test, is an important part of overall health care for women. We recommend that women have a Pap test every year once they become sexually active or when they reach the age of 18, whichever comes first. If you've never had a gynecological exam before, you can read our step-by-step description.
Each patient's medical needs vary, but generally a check-up with no infections plus 3 months of pills is $215 if you pay in full at the time of service. This includes a pelvic exam, breast exam, Pap test, cultures, and heart/lung/thyroid/weight/bp checks, as well as time with a clinician to discuss your concerns.
At some of our Health Centers, we are able to offer reduced fees based on household income and family size. You will receive financial counseling at the time of your visit. Be prepared to give us information about your household income. We also take Medicaid-if you have a card, please bring it with you. Call 1-800-230-PLAN (7526) to make an appointment at the Health Center nearest you.
