Pregnancy Testing

Walk-in pregnancy testing is available at any of our Health Centers. Call 1-800-230-PLAN (7526) for the Health Center nearest you.

The accuracy of a pregnancy test is not guaranteed. Other examinations and tests, such as a pelvic exam and ultrasound, may be needed as well. If the pregnancy test is negative, it may be too soon to determine whether you are actually pregnant. You may need to repeat the test to be sure the results are as accurate as possible.

If a pregnancy test is positive, a physical examination will be necessary to help determine the length of time you have been pregnant. You should have a pelvic examination as soon as possible, whether you are considering abortion or continuing the pregnancy and starting prenatal care. If problems arise, such as bleeding or abdominal pain, you should see a health care provider immediately.

You will be asked to give us some information about your medical history. If necessary, you will be referred to a Planned Parenthood clinician or other health care provider for further evaluation.
