Anyone can get EC at Planned Parenthood!

Did you forget to take your birth control pill? Did the condom break? Emergency contraception (EC), also known as Plan B or "the morning-after pill", can reduce your chance of becoming pregnant by 75 to 89 percent, and it can be taken up to 120 hours after unprotected intercourse. The sooner you take EC, the more effective it is.

You may have heard that the FDA has approved making EC available without a prescription for women 18 and over.  That has changed how PP provides EC, but we still provide it to everyone, regardless of age!  Here's how:

If you are 18 or older:  You can buy EC at any PPCO Health Center by showing a government-issued photo ID.

If you are under 18:  You can buy EC at any PPCO Health Center by seeing a clinician and getting a prescription.

If you want the sliding fee discount:  Three of our Centers, Franklinton, Circleville, and Delaware, are Title X Centers and offer services with a sliding fee discount based on household size and income.  If you are 18 and older you can buy EC at full price with a photo ID and no clinician visit.  To use the sliding fee discount to buy EC you will need to see a clinician and get a prescription regardless of age.
