How Planned Parenthood of Central Ohio (PPCO) uses your investments
Planned Parenthood of Central Ohio (Tax ID 31-4379502) is a non-profit agency. Donations directly impact our ability to serve our communities. We provide low-cost and free reproductive health services, education outreach services in local schools and partner with community organizations, and integral advocacy work at the local and state level for reproductive rights.

Automatic Monthly Contribution
You can use your credit card to make an automatic monthly contribution of any amount. Please call us at 614-224-2235 and give your information over the phone. 


Honor/Celebration/Memorial Gifts
You may give to Planned Parenthood of Central Ohio in honor, celebration, or memory of someone. If you mail a check, please be sure to include the name and address of the person in whose name you are giving (or their family) and we will send them a note informing them of your gift. Matching Gifts
How can you double your donation?
You may work for a company who will match your gift to Planned Parenthood of Central Ohio. These gifts may be generated by an employee, retired employee, or his or her spouse, from corporations with matching gift programs. Matching gift forms are generally obtained from the company’s personnel or benefits office and forwarded to Planned Parenthood of Central Ohio by the donor along with their donation.

Bequests through wills:
Creating a will may be your most meaningful opportunity to establish a legacy for an organization whose work is close to your heart.

There are different ways to name Planned Parenthood of Central Ohio in your will.

  • A specific bequest: You can establish a bequest of a particular dollar amount or asset.
  • A residuary bequest: You can give all or part of the property remaining in your estate after debts, expenses, and specific bequests are paid.

Life Insurance & Retirement Plans:
You may give your life insurance policy to Planned Parenthood of Central Ohio while realizing income tax and estate tax benefits. PPCO may also be named as a residual beneficiary of a company retirement or profit sharing plan, or of a private fund such as an IRA, Keogh, or tax sheltered annuity.

Charitable Gift Annuities:
A charitable gift annuity is a contract in which you exchange a gift of cash or securities for a guaranteed, fixed income each year for the rest of your life.
Your gift annuity offers four distinct advantages:

  • Income for life; regular payouts made to you or an individual you designate
  • Tax deduction savings: a large part of what you transfer is a deductible charitable gift
  • Tax-free income: a large part of your annual payment is a tax-free return of princicpal
  • Charitable gift annuities can be made in increments of $5,000 by individuals that are at least 60 years of age

Charitable Remainder Trusts:
This option offers you the opportunity to set up a charitable plan tailored to your specific financial goals. Through investment of trust assets, you have the option of enjoying increasingly larger payments throughout your lifetime as well as significant tax savings. After the trust expires, the remaining assets will go to Planned Parenthood of Central Ohio and any other charities named in the trust agreement. 


Workplace Campaigns
Donating Through Workplace Campaigns
You can opt to designate your workplace giving to Planned Parenthood of Central Ohio. Donations to PPCO are made in the form of a pledge via payroll deduction throughout the year or as a one time gift. The charitable workplace campaigns are as follows: 

United Way
Donations to PPCO must be specifically designated through the Donor Option plan offered by some United Ways. Since PPCO is not a United Way member agency, we do not receive any general funds – only designated contributions.
Giving to Planned Parenthood of Central Ohio through United Way is easy:

  1. Follow the directions to fill in essential information on your United Way pledge form.
  2. Fill in the form’s designated giving section by writing in Planned Parenthood of Central Ohio

  6. Forward a copy of your United Way pledge form to ensure PPCO receipt of gift

Combined Federal Campaign
Federal employees may donate to PPCO through the Combined Federal Campaign. The correct code for the CFC Campaign form is 31372 – this will designate the gift to Planned Parenthood of Central Ohio.  


Donating Gifts of Stock
