PPCNJ presents an annual conference for high school students. Attended by more than two hundred students from across New Jersey, the conference provides high school students with the opportunity to interact with their peers in an engaging learning environment. The conference includes dynamic workshops and keynote presentations on a variety of sexual health and related topics for teens.
The 2011 conference, YouChoose: Celebrate Yourself, was held on April 13th at Brookdale Community College. More than 225 students from 22 schools attended. Workshop topics included: anger management,prescription drug abuse, driving distractions, gender identity, ‘for guys only’ – a discussion of issues facing teen boys, and ‘for girls only’ – a discussion of issues facing teen girls. PPCNJ also presented its popular new workshop, Like Me: Your Life in the Digital World. The keynote presentation was an interactive theatrical performance by FACES, a nationally recognized teen drama troupe that performs entertaining and educational plays on sexual health issues.
Our 2012 Teen Conference will be held on April 25th at Brookdale Community College. Space fills up quickly, so register now. Registration deadline is December 9, 2011.
