Where do teens go after school?
Some to work, others just "hang out"...and far too many experiment with drugs and sex. But, teens in PPAEO's It's Your Future program spend time after school doing homework, talking, learning life skills, thinking about their futures-- and that's the way it's been for 15 years in Tulsa.
Dramatic reduction in teen pregnancy
The teenagers in the It's Your Future program have a drastically reduced rate of unwanted pregnancies. We are aware of only two pregnancies among program participants since the program started in 1991
Great things can happen . . .
...when you give teens a chance to learn, listen...and most importantly, be heard. Our staff has helped the teens get into colleges, technical schools, etc. Young people who have hope for a future are less self destructive. It's Your Future provides sexuality education, life skills education, career exploration and academic tutoring for the students who participate.
