Prenatal Care

Prenatal care is medical attention given to an expectant mother and her developing baby. It requires a mother to care for herself by following her health care provider’s advice, following good nutrition, getting plenty of sleep, exercising, and avoiding things that could harm her or her baby.

Planned Parenthood of Alaska offers referrals for prenatal care services and can assist women in finding a prenatal care provider. Please call 1-800-230-PLAN to find out more information.
