Over the past few months our Anchorage and Fairbanks Planned Parenthood of Alaska clinics have been subject to consistent, growing groups of picketers. In response to their messages of hate we started a Pledge-a-Picketer campaign. Since June 2007 picketers have been helping us fundraise and rally support!

Clinic doors proudly show frequent updates about protester activity and the new totals they are helping us reach. Picketers have also personally been told the service they are providing by our CEO.

If you need to see it to believe it take a minute and watch this video. It was recently created by the University of Alaska Anchorage's student newspaper The Northern Light and highlights our struggle. If you live outside of Anchorage or Fairbanks this video provides a small glimpse of what our clinics face each week.

Our promise to the community is simple: we will provide superior reproductive health care, we will provide medically-accurate, comprehensive sex education to all students, teachers, principals and school districts that will have us, we will keep our doors open, we will keep ourselves and our clients safe, and most importantly, we will not be intimidated. We are unshakeable in these beliefs just as you are, and that is why we are asking for your support.
