Selects Planned Parenthood to Receive $2500

New York, NY — Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) congratulates music video director Theresa Wingert on winning a Country Music Television (CMT) music award for Video of the Year with artist Carrie Underwood at the 2010 CMT Music Awards.

As part of the 2010 CMT Music Awards, CMT One Country, the network’s prosocial initiative, will make a $2500 donation to each winning artist’s charity of choice. Wingert won as the director for Carrie Underwood’s video, “Cowboy Casanova,” and chose Planned Parenthood as her charity.

Planned Parenthood is grateful to Ms. Wingert for selecting Planned Parenthood as her charity of choice, and highlighting Planned Parenthood’s work in promoting and protecting women’s health. The donation will help Planned Parenthood’s work in providing affordable reproductive health care to those who need it the most.  As America’s most trusted provider of reproductive health care, Planned Parenthood’s doctors and nurses provide basic health care to three million women, men and teens around the country every year and help them lead healthy lives.
